Top 40 Book Club : Top 40 Book Club Reads 2016
35 NON-FICTION NON-FICTION BOOK CLUB READS Top 40 2016 The Road to Little Dribbling: More Notes From a Small Island Bill Bryson It has been 20 years since Bill Bryson produced Notes from a Small Island, an account of his journey from Bognor Regis (on England’s South Coast, just to the right of the Isle of Wight) to Cape Wrath (the mos t north-westerly point in mainland Britain). That ver y humourous book was voted the most accurate por trayal of themselves by the British in a BBC survey – praise indeed! The Road to Little Dribbling is Bryson’s retracing (well, almost) of his previous journey, just to see how much the places and the people have changed in the intervening decades. This easy read of Bill Bryson’s updated observations is disturbingly accurate yet satisfying and thought-provoking in its own insightful and amusing journey.
