10 Borrow the e-book through Borrowbox now! The Girl in Green Derek B. Miller In 1991, British journalist Thomas Benton meets American soldier Arwood Hobbes around 100 miles from the Kuwaiti border. While arguing whether or not it is safe to cross the border, they get caught in an attack during which a young local girl, wearing a green dress, is shot and dies in Hobbes’ arms. The men part ways, dealing with the incident in their own lives before meeting again, over twenty years later in a different war. Hobbes has discovered a girl in a green dress who looks eerily similar to the girl they were unable to save before. The two men, now older, go on a mission to make amends. The novel is a definite page-turner, and Miller’s detail will instantly transport readers to Northern Iraq. What should I read next?
