The existing Carindale Library will be closed on 26, 27 and 28 March, to transfer all items and equipment. You can return borrowed items to the existing library returns chute during this time. For all other library services, please visit the Carina, Garden City or Mount Gravatt libraries. Westfield Carindale, 1151 Creek Road, Carindale. Pantomime: Julian and his ‘really big’ magical books – Thursday 29 March 10-11am. Be wowed by Julian’s gigantic books, each one full of colorful characters and intriguing magic. Enjoy laughs, audience interaction, funny stories and gasps of amazement. Julian enthusiastically shares with the children his love of stories and reading. And the best book of all? The book of magic from the library that made Julian want to be a magician. Ideal for children of all ages. Library tours – Thursday 29 March 11am, 1pm and 4pm and Friday 30 March 11am, 1pm and 4pm. Join our staff for a tour of the new library. Learn about the design features, the new technologies that are unique to Carindale Librar y and even a sneak- peek of the behind-the- scenes areas. No bookings necessar y – all are welcome! Watercolours with Renee Dillon – Thursday 29 March 12 noon-2pm. Take part in this ‘drop- in’ watercolours session with ar tist, Renee Dillon. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, Renee is on hand to help you with techniques and tips to help improve your skill. All materials provided. No need to book, just drop in anytime from 12 noon-2pm. Ideal for adults. Craft at Carindale Kids – Thursday 29 March 12 noon-5pm and Saturday 31 March 10-11am. Come check out the new children’s area of the librar y, Carindale Kids, and make your own creation to take home. With experienced crafters on hand to help and your own imagination, who knows what you can create! Drop-in at any time – no need to book. Storyteller Darryl Bellingham – Friday 30 March 10-11am. Open up your imaginations and join professional stor yteller, Darryl Bellingham as he takes you on a wild adventure in this special story time. Altered Books with Renee Dillon* – Saturday 31 March 10am-12 noon. Transform an average book into a work of art with the help and guidance of ar tist, Renee Dillon.
