From the late 40s to the 70s Enid Gilchrist’s magazines provided Australian housewives with fashionable and practical clothing designs in which to dres s their families. This exhibit shows homemade boys’ and girls’ wear using her designs. Illustrated, collaged and embroidered works on paper along with a selection of the original magazine covers accompany the garments.
