43 MARCH 2012 lord Mayor's Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund Help the flood recovery in Brisbane and donate to the Lord Mayor's Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund. All donations will help local welfare organisations, community and sporting groups. Funds will go towards flood clean up costs, replacing lost or damaged equipment and repairing or rebuilding facilities that were flooded. The Lord Mayor's Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund will be administered by a delegated board. All donations of $2 or more to the appeal by Australian residents are tax deductible. Donations can be made online and in person at a Customer Service Centre or Commonwealth Bank branch in the Brisbane City Council region. Credit card, EFTPOS, cheque or cash are accepted. Please do not send cash in the mail. To be eligible for funding, applicants have to be a local non-profit organisation who has suffered damage as a direct result of a natural disaster.
