BOOK CLUB READS Top 40 FICTION 12 MULLUMBIMBY Melissa Lucashenko After moving to a valley near the town of Mullumbimby on the far north coast of New South Wales, Jo Breen becomes caretaker at the Mullumbimby cemetery and begins a new life of healing following her divorce. Here in her ancestral home of Bundjalung countr y, Jo tends to the land of the cemetery, cares for her unsettled daughter and enjoys occasional visits from family. The arrival of two brothers, Twoboy and Lazarus, who have come to the valley to make a Native Title claim changes things when Jo finds herself falling for Twoboy. Their differing opinions on the land soon adds tension to the relationship. Mullumbimby is a fantastic read from Lucashenko who brought us Steam Pigsin 1997.
